flooding.....

i am so pleased to say that we didnt cope the worst of it... but here is some....

lookin up from Mally towards the back of our place.

the view over my back fence during the rain..

the view over our back fence heading towards Mally rd.. {which we have to come up to get home}

this is the creek really flowing.... wow.. what water..usually you cant see any water AT ALL from our fence..

STUCK.. .dad took this when he was trying to get home... Mally Road.... he had to wait for a while to get across...

this is to get to the shop.. during the flood..

this one is the cool {but very dangerous} whirlpool that has been created....

after the water has gone down.. what a MESS>..

the rural firies were needed to hose of the SLIPPERY mud from the road..and trust me was really slippery..nearly went A over T trying to take photos...

across to the shop.. after it had gone down.

oh oh this one was taken this morning before the rain.. eek.. hate to see what this drain looks like now when the water all goes down... major repairs i think..

the park... coming into Hodgson Vale.. no cricket there for a while.. oh and this is where i walk.. might get wet feet tomorrow...

and now for some around the house.

this is looking from our shed towards the house.. eek..

UMmmm.. whoops .. all my trenches didnt work... doh..

near our shed.. this is heading for the house..

this is from Ray and Glynis that live across the road..

this is behind rays on the 27 Dec 2010 wait till you see the difference...

behind Rays on the 10 Jan 2011...

behind Ray's again..

okay so sorry to bore you with all these photos..but was a pretty momentus day.. and Toowoomba had SUPER flash flooding..and you'd think we'd see it often but we dont because there ISNT A RIVER flowing through town..usually west creek is nothin more than a trickle... wow.. so my thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by all this water...and my thoughts are especially with my bud Paula who is a full time firie and is at the forfont of this disaster..... stay safe..

Awesome photos Leanne. It is just sooooo crazy. Cannot believe it is still going. And the mess at the end, it wont just stop when the rain does. Take care and stay as dry as you can. (P.S. Had to laugh at the water tank sitting there, not really needed at the moment hey?....lol).

Oi Leanne!
Que imagens tristes, aqui no Brasil, no Rio de Janeiro também o caos tomou conta por causa da chuva, deslizamentos e enchentes já mataram muitas pessoas.
Espero que você e sua familia estejam bem!
Beijos do Brasil!
