I'm, back at Show Us Your Stuff...... {a little late i know}

WHHOOOOOPS my bad...
but not really I've only just got a computer back after almost 2 whole excruciatingly long months of not having one. so I'm back in the land of blogging.....

so I have news .. yes its a little old but still news surely!!..

Anyho.

I am no on the Show Us Your Stuff design team.. yay ME..


so my first assignment was a sketch.. and we all know I love a sketch..

 

and this is my take on it...

"Delight"

yep. I played with the background slightly and instead of patterned paper I've used a felt polaroid and heart from Rainbow Splendour plus some little extra bits and pieces from my stash...... its been so long since some of these have seen the light of day.
also added some microbeads with embossing powder on the scrapmatts florish.. I likes how that turned out.

as some of you already know the January challenge has closed for Show Us Your Stuff but the new February one has started and I must admit that I had fun playing with it..
I will be back on the 15th with my reveal .. but don't wait head on over to Show Us Your Stuff and give it a go...

i actually did this one whilst having a play at Maria Featons place the other day.. came together so quick and easy.. oh and can you spot the Rainbow Splendour in there as well.. woot woot.....
and then a just because layout.. i was in a mood..and well i got it out of my system by creating something for me..
"I deserve better"

YEP.. some Pattern paper, some Rainbow Splendour , some Lil Red Rocket twine, and then alphas and washi tape and mist.. wallah..
and now... my Dt example for Show Us Your Stuff... Novembers challenge is so simple...

"Worth a Try"

yup  yup.. Rainbow Splendour goodness right there.... happy face...
and lastly.. another just because i was at Marias and had some scraps left over from the one UP that way somewhere.. lol

a day of Littles.....

hello world..

its my ScrapMatts day.. 

and the theme this month is all about the little things.. ATC, Card and Tags..

well I Tried.... but first up i'll share a couple of layouts that i have been playing with.

first up.

"He Loves Me"

i LOVE love using these photos from my phone..and here i've printed them smaller and in a line for some funky effect.. love it.... {thank you photo of the month for letting me take more photos..granted from my phone.. but i'm loving it....}  and now for some closies...

the photos.. and a Lil Red Rocket BUTTON and HEART.. how fun are they.. and to boy it up..a gear from scrapmatts.. woot woot...

and then to add something to the top of the pp Matte i've used a heap of cb 1078 Gears simply coloured black and lined up.. looks cool i'm lovin it..... 

and den..

for something a heap different.. i started this background.. hated it..and put it in the i'll get back to that one pile...anyho Tracey had seen it started and when she slept over the other night asked about it..so bugger it i thought and i pulled it out and started stapling randoms to it.. "What photo are you using??" she asked.. i replied "I have NO idea".. which isnt a new thing for me... i often start something with no idea which photo i will put on it in the end..but i'm glad i did keep going coz its so grundgy and funky...

"I'm Me"

so there you have it a little random.. which is spot on really... oh and guess what... i used a grand total of....
30 staples on that layout. i was proud of that... LOL....

i added ONE of my favourite sayings.. JUST GOTTA LAUGH.. coz seriously if you dont what is the point really....

yup some random punchings from my new Martha Stewart punch...and then the Chevron button and purple heart from Lil Red Rocket........

and not forgetting the ScrapMatts.. well a scrapmatt.. the cb 6037 Dress Form.. i got it in black when i ordered it so all i had to do was tie some twine around her..and of course staple her on.. LOL....

ANYHO.. i should now show my LITTLES..... 

a set of ATC's.. yep i hardly do these... so small...!!!

"Inspire, Dream, Love"

i used.... ATC 10-006 as the bases for all these cards..they are so tiny.. added some texture paste....and then went with the flow.. i knew i wanted to use these words..but again that was all.. so out came the most awesome box of ScrapMatts chippies..and off i went......
"Inspire"

 so i used...cb 6037 dress forms {yup the same as on the layout above}, cb 1078 Gears, cb 1134 assorted words AND i {OH my goodness you didnt} cut up a cb5096 Layered frame and used it on the three cards for a bit of continuity..... happy times...

"Dream"

 

again.. the same words and frame.. but added cb 1017 keys and cb1084 key holes.....

"Love"

again same as before.. same words and frame.. just added.... cb 1158 butterlies and mc 1028 bird cages....
so that is that set of cards.. and then i thought i'd have a play and create just a card.. not for anyone..but as a stand alone thing.. i might frame it.. yes FRAME it {alahhh Mr Maker...hehehe}

"An Angel"

so what you think.. frame it...........

for this one i used... cb 5038 Leaf Spray and cb 1158 butterflies......

and also some cb 1120 wings.. well an angel isnt an angel with out wings now is she... just covered the bottom wing layer with some glitter.. well three different colours of glitter actually..LOL and away i went.. i really really LOVE her... anyho.

Today is full of Rainbow... splendour that is...

today i've decided that since its alittle well.. brisk out side today that i'd add some Rainbows to my day. Rainbow Splendour that is..LOL... so i'm sharing a layout that i created a while back at Gilly's ..inspiration by the most amazing Renee Iveson..she'd done this page using yellow background with the swipes of blue..so i cheated and copied that idea..and then went from there..and this is what happened....

Gooooodddd Easter Morning to everyone.. well by the time you read this it would've been Easter probably a couple of days ago..but you know what I'm fine with that...

I really hope that everyone has enjoyed their day..right now I'm here all alone... but my sis is coming to pick me up and go visit my mum and dad for a little while and then the kids will be home this afternoon sometime.. so its ok.....

so Onto the scrapbooking..... this month at ScrapMatts we are celebrating all things women..

its all about those special girls and ladies in our lives or even give yourself a big pat on the back...

My first one is all about ME... yep i did it... all about me.....

"A Good Feeling"

I actually did this one at the Gillian Retreat so it's kind of a lift from her..she was sitting near me and was using these bunting type shapes for her background..thought I'd give it a go.....

the side.. see the layers.. a good mix there.. even a felt fence from Rainbow Splendour... and the floral spray from scrapmatts...
and then the little cluster of goodness down the bottom..

Next up we have another from the retreat... I just had to use these series of photos.. they are just so gorgeous...

"The Best Day Ever"

I know its pretty simple but I really really like it.. I think its because its a mix of just a random background some special photos and then just a couple of extras.....

LOVE these new Stands from Scrapmatts teamed up with the microchips bird cage and little birdy..so cute....
and then another of the floral sprays.. YES it is one of my favourite scrapmatts products... love it..
and a random title..its was a case of one of those.. NO now what am I going to call it.... I must admit that I think that I even left it for a day without anything in the area where I'd put the journal spot..... yep.... I know..

And finally one I created the other day.. I have this maybe bad habit sometimes of just creating a background with NO idea what photo or what the page is even about and then I have to find a photo and then the embellishments to go with it... but sometimes it works a Treat....

"She"

Have a look at that colour combo.. must say I LIKE it alot.. so soft but with the splash of red to give it alittle bit of excitement.....

Used some of my favourite products.. Scrapmatts butterflies and some Lil Red Rocket.. how amazing is that heart button......
I used one of the window arches as a frame just to add something to the side of the page...
and then a cluster of flowers and chippies... the circle felt flower is also from Lil Red Rocket.....now just in case you are wondering how I did the effect on the chippies.. simple.. I used an Adirondack lights Acrylic paint Dabber..and simple just dabbed it randomly over the chippy.. i really like the aged type effect it made...

so ... thats it for today..
