and I also used some more rainbow Splendour.. a vellum bow and also one of Chloes super cool polaroid frame with glitter.. how cool is the glitter.. just adds that something special.

a day of Littles.....

hello world..

its my ScrapMatts day.. 

and the theme this month is all about the little things.. ATC, Card and Tags..

well I Tried.... but first up i'll share a couple of layouts that i have been playing with.

first up.

"He Loves Me"

i LOVE love using these photos from my phone..and here i've printed them smaller and in a line for some funky effect.. love it.... {thank you photo of the month for letting me take more photos..granted from my phone.. but i'm loving it....}  and now for some closies...

the photos.. and a Lil Red Rocket BUTTON and HEART.. how fun are they.. and to boy it up..a gear from scrapmatts.. woot woot...

and then to add something to the top of the pp Matte i've used a heap of cb 1078 Gears simply coloured black and lined up.. looks cool i'm lovin it..... 

and den..

for something a heap different.. i started this background.. hated it..and put it in the i'll get back to that one pile...anyho Tracey had seen it started and when she slept over the other night asked about it..so bugger it i thought and i pulled it out and started stapling randoms to it.. "What photo are you using??" she asked.. i replied "I have NO idea".. which isnt a new thing for me... i often start something with no idea which photo i will put on it in the end..but i'm glad i did keep going coz its so grundgy and funky...

"I'm Me"

so there you have it a little random.. which is spot on really... oh and guess what... i used a grand total of....
30 staples on that layout. i was proud of that... LOL....

i added ONE of my favourite sayings.. JUST GOTTA LAUGH.. coz seriously if you dont what is the point really....

yup some random punchings from my new Martha Stewart punch...and then the Chevron button and purple heart from Lil Red Rocket........

and not forgetting the ScrapMatts.. well a scrapmatt.. the cb 6037 Dress Form.. i got it in black when i ordered it so all i had to do was tie some twine around her..and of course staple her on.. LOL....

ANYHO.. i should now show my LITTLES..... 

a set of ATC's.. yep i hardly do these... so small...!!!

i used.... ATC 10-006 as the bases for all these cards..they are so tiny.. added some texture paste....and then went with the flow.. i knew i wanted to use these words..but again that was all.. so out came the most awesome box of ScrapMatts chippies..and off i went......
"Inspire"

 so i used...cb 6037 dress forms {yup the same as on the layout above}, cb 1078 Gears, cb 1134 assorted words AND i {OH my goodness you didnt} cut up a cb5096 Layered frame and used it on the three cards for a bit of continuity..... happy times...

"Dream"

 

again.. the same words and frame.. but added cb 1017 keys and cb1084 key holes.....

"Love"

again same as before.. same words and frame.. just added.... cb 1158 butterlies and mc 1028 bird cages....
so that is that set of cards.. and then i thought i'd have a play and create just a card.. not for anyone..but as a stand alone thing.. i might frame it.. yes FRAME it {alahhh Mr Maker...hehehe}

"An Angel"

so what you think.. frame it...........

for this one i used... cb 5038 Leaf Spray and cb 1158 butterflies......

and also some cb 1120 wings.. well an angel isnt an angel with out wings now is she... just covered the bottom wing layer with some glitter.. well three different colours of glitter actually..LOL and away i went.. i really really LOVE her... anyho.

its been a while.. but I'm back to share a few creations with you all... first up is just a random that i did on retreat..

"Mischief Wink"

yep it features one of my favourite photos with a truely random lj mix of STUFF... yep some super Lil Red Rocket, Rainbow Splendour, The Chip Chop Shop, Hambly, October afternoon and dont forget the ALFOIL...yep its made a comeback....and now for some closies...
see the Rainbow Splendour felt doiley..YUM...
the title word "Mischief" is a ScrapMatts WORD...
see that child and her wink..too cute... also the mushroom is Rainbow Splendour...
and look at that cluster.. YEP random.. green gingham button from Lil Red Rocket, another felt doiley from Rainbow Splendour.. a super CUTE burger from the Chip Chop Shop, and even a mini silver food mould {thanks Gilly}.....

so thats one to share..and i have another for today...

on our recent trip to Gillians for our own little retreat we had to set challenges.. Tracey and I were first up.. so you did a sketch and a recipe to go with the sketch.....so here is ours...
and here is what i came up with...
"Adventure"

something alittle structured and alittle fun.... can you see everything...
yep the transparency... and the pp speak for themselves really...but how CUTE is that Robot button.. yep Lil Red Rocket...
some random string...and stars ......
and the NON scrappy item.. yep Al-Foil ..i reckon al is awesome..you should try it...... go on i dare you.. so if you want why not have a go at OUR challenge.. the sketch and recipe combined..... oh oh .. and see the robot and boy pp i have had that sitting in my stash since that range was released and it was one of those pp that i kept looking at thinking this is too awesome to use and just couldnt bring myself to use it.. so i took it down to Gillys on the purpose that it MUST be used.. i think i made the most of it.. i'm sure i used it on 4 layouts in the end..what a great piece of PP it turned out to be.. yay..

so happy days everyone..... enjoy the holidays..........

the 4 product challenge......

So what's the 4 product challenge i hear you say..
well over at the bestest chipboard company around.. ScrapMatts.. Sofie and Andrew decided to set their DT a challenge... create a layout using 4 DIFFERENT types of their chipboard products.. yep 4 different.. easy you say.. well YEAH and NO coz you could only use 4.. and there were other rules.. couldnt add any other embellishments appart from the chippies..so no buttons, flowers..etc...
so want to see what i came up with..............
"DUDE"

yes i know.. i went to extreme.... i ONLY used Chipboard.. no pattern papers or anything... love the way it looked....... first up i created the background on plain Chipboard sheet using a crafters workshop template with some texture paste and misted with glimmermist and chalk mist when the texture paste was still wet.. i SO love the way this looks..... lets the photo and the chippy shine..........
so i have used....cb 5039 Gears, cb 8003 Clock and Cb 8001 Circles to make the frame......so how did i do it.. well the clock is just coloured black with Sharpie pen and the numbers i rubbed on some Liquid Pearls,, yep liquid pearls.. and then the circle i swiped some white paint on and then sprayed with two colours of glimmermist.... and the gears were already black so i just randomly highlighted some areas with the stardust pens {from scrapmatts} and covered with the scrapmatts glaze....so there you go .. pretty easy..and LOVE the look of it..
and then for the title.. simply rubbed on some white paint and then when was dried randomly swiped over it with distress stain....

so there you have it ... my take on the 4 product challenge... so why not head on over to the Scrapmatts forum {HERE} and have a look at how may ways you can use chippies.....

oh and for those who dont follow me on facebook.. i just came back from the most awesome long weekend away at Gillian Lesters house.. yep the famous Gillian Lester... where we spent a weekend of scrappiness..and get this i completed 15.. yep 15 Layouts.{including this one}. how cool is that... i KNOW.. so i'm off to photograph them and will share in time... happy days everyone....

i created this one for ScrapMatts.. they are having a BOY/MAN month..and well we all know i have no man ..so its all boy for me.. i wanted to do a layout without a photo of my BOY in it.. so i had a little play....

the title... some fun with some ECHO PARK and some Hambly and some OCTOBER AFTERNOON and of course the super dooper funky ScrapMatts...
some RAW gears layered up..cool hey..and then the doodling on the frame.... woot woot..

and just some randomness.... LOL.. i've had the background pp for like ages.. too scared to use it..i'm sure we all have some of THAT in our stash..well i challenged my self... bit the bullet and used it..and i likey...... lol..

had a play with my cuttle bug..the poor lil guy hardly gets used.. but ah alas he shone today.. and see how graphic this one is..slightly different but hey..

so many cool components of this kit.. and so MANY awesome ways to use it.... so here are some closies....

super fun cloud rubons mixed with some hand drawn ones..and how CUTE is that sea horse..
the title..and the whale was on the pp.. i just added some white signo pen to highlight him abit more there was no way i was covering the big guy up....

mmm................. so totally different.. {but wait until i finish the half started next one..so totally different again...} but back to this... really liked this effect..and i really REALLY wanted to highlight the photos.......
the title.. i just broke it up coz i didnt want a long line for the title....
