sore throat so should really have been sleeping...BUT.

i had a couple of challenges that needed doing for our little local group which is meeting on Sunday.. so here they are
Mr Strong.. LOL.. challenge: at least one of each.. a stamp, a brad and an odd embellishment.

i'm still lovin the dymo at the moment.. i seem to be that way where i find or rediscover something and then kill it with over use.. but anyho...

this is my odd embellishment, since i didnt really get that i went with a old dress pattern on acetate border.. {that'll do}

oh and could probably put this in as well .. a Lil Red Rocket Archie round for an "o".. love this, glued the round on chippy then coated with pva then with dimensional magic.. sorry the pic doesnt really show its awesomeness ..LOL...

so the other challenge was a card that we had to make off of a sketch {the layout was posted a couple days ago called... mischief and fun posted about the 30/4 or around then..}..

kids were good for most of it..LOL>. both of them decided to have asleep.. Tarj on the couch and Ivy in her room on a time out... LOL.. so some scrapping was done.

Colours are courtesy of The Colour Room palette #5.. i've had this photo for ages so i found it and the quote all at once so it was begging to be done for this.. Must admit though had to go to the depths of my pp supply to find the colours.. dusky pink..mmm...
my attempt at some fabric flowers.. and a lil red rocket button of course.
the quote is "you havent lost your smile, its right under your nose. you just forgot it's there".. funny i thought...

got sent these cute doileys from fresh vintage at etsy from Megan at the boxx in some RAK and they are cute...and went so well.. topped the flower off with some vintage lace and a lil red rocket button..YUM.. pretty feminine layout for me.. but i think i like it, mainly because of the photo though...LOL....
and then whilst taking these pics of the layout had a look out the front window and saw some awesome storm clouds and you know me and clouds..well i love it.

oh and Miss Ivy also had to throw herself in front of the camera.. seems not even her broken collar bone can stop her from posing..LOL..

Lil Red Rocket inspiration pack.... yum

being part of Shells DT for Lil Red Rocket is soooo much fun.. i got to work with her YELLOW inspiration pack.. and boy what a pack of goodies it is...
added a touch of me with the clouds.. and needed some rain for the umbrellas LOL...and how cute are the ducks...

oh and what a cute little peg..

here is most of the pack.. the doily, heart button, date journal spot and mini pom pom ribbon... oh and i just had to throw in a awesome fabric button as well..

I havent used everything from the pack ... {all the yellow [cept the fabric button and the strip of pp] is part of this awesome inspiration kit}.. the shop is closed at the moment but check out the blog for awesome giveaways and product updates..

had a little play with a sewing machine..{think i like my hand stitching even though i takes forever}...
these lil Vintage rounds are so easy and fun.. oh and the archie ones.. i layered onto chipboard then glue and then dimensional magic... loved the effect but it didnt photo too well sorry


these curls are fun and add alittle cheeky to the page..so simple and excellent way to use the bits you'd throw away...of course i had to through in a lil red rocket button

oh and how cute are my kids... oh and the milo biscuits i also added choc chips just to give me alittle extra chocy hit...

We're all doing fine... BUT

nothing alittle chocolate wont fix.. and a sling for atleast 4 weeks..

yep Miss Ivy has done it again.. she fell off of her little cubby thats in the lounge room and has broken her collarbone.. so she has to have the sling for at least 4 weeks.. that'll be fun keeping it on..


but on everything else.. thanks everyone for your love, thoughts and support. we are all coping pretty well... the kids especially Ivy only really ask for dad first thing in the morning..so heres hoping they are okay..

ON a Happier note

it actually started as the colour challenge for the color room #3 and my local group sketch challenge but it didnt quite work..the colours that is.kept sort of to the sketch. i love the page i started by swiping my Fresh {baby poo} green colour over the page but it came out yellow when dried..so that ended the challenge so just went with the flow anyway..also some Stacey Young inspired super paint.
addicted with stitching still.. actually said to myself.. self no stitching on this layout.... and i tried really hard but needed something..mmmmm what ... i know stitching.
have done these before awhile ago but usually just one not a big group..so they worked..and had a play with making the circles out of old {new} book and acetate...
these strips left over from my circles was way to cool not to use...

lots of dimension and height..just the way i like it.

the WORST morning Ever

so i'd just thought i'd let you all know this so that you'll understand if i'm not here as much as usual...
today i asked my partner of more than 10 years to leave.. I havent been happy for along time now with our relationship but just kept going for the kids... And after a day of stewing yesterday at work i figured that it was time to do something for me.. To look after me first, so although it was hard and i still feel ill about it i bit the bullet and asked for some space... I sincerely hope that we can and will be friends especially for the kids.. i can guarantee that doing this and basaically breaking up a family is by no means easy.. hence why i have stewed and thought and tried seriously hard for the last few months.. if i'm being true to myself probably 6 months or more...it is so hard...and they say that people fall out of love and i would never have believed them if it didnt happen to me.. although i still love rodney because he is the father of my kids i had to face facts and admit that i'm not IN love with him anymore... i never get butterflies to see him etc. and it truely is hard saying this but its about time i faced up to the truth and started to take my life seriously and really try to be happy again and not just pretend because thats how its supposed to be... so today is the start of whatever, i dont even know.. but heres hoping that some good will come out of this.. i know it'll take some adjusting for the kids and for me..trust me i am seriously crying whilst typing this...but it has to be said and i can start living and stop pretending...

I hope you all understand and no doubt will offer your support.
all my hugs and sugar...

oh i will post the layout that i finished as well to brighten everyones day after all this gloom and doom.
oh and i will keep scrapping it IS MY THERAPy.

here is my latest for Ct at Journal it. the prompt was BEAUTIFUL...of course the first thing to come to mind was lots of flowers and Ivy but then i had these pics printed and thought no..this is Just Beautiful...

stitching what a habit i've developed..

the journalling.. {note stitched lines.. now starting to go overboard with the whole stitching.}

i had a go at dyeing some doilies.. and this is the result..i reckon it added the bit of colour that i need.. and was fun making them..

oh and yep still addicted to Lil Red Rocket butterflies {5 layers to each butterfly.. i reckon its pretty effective}...and the little button just adds that lil zing..

Ivy is experiencing the life of 2 year old.....

please dont let the pic fool you.. the last few days Ivy is really showing me the meaning of the terrible two.. she hasnt been super naughty but just stubborn as all @%##.... really frustrating me... oh but i scrapped today so am feeling abit better and we didnt have a small arguement over bed she just went... {only went to sleep after 2 books from me 2 from dad and a heap of patts on the back from dad} but there were no tears or screaming or that horrible calll..... I want mum.. mum...mummy...{picture it going over and over and over and over and over} you get the drift..anyho.. enough whingeing we've all been there {well tarj was never there at 2 he waited till 3}LOL>.. oh did i mention that i scrapped today..just have to journal and will put up a sneak coz it for the Journal it group.. be posted there on the 1st..wow May already.. my sister is movin away soon... i'm sad about that but she has to follow her family i suppose.. but anyway..i'll get to visit a nice part of the world.. she going down near Byron Bay..{never been down there but guess i will be soon...}.. oh enough already...

PS..yeah Ivy does have a black swollen eye.. she got bitten by something during the night and woke up like that..but never complained...
