Kraft Plus..........................

mmmm Kraft............ I'm sure there is a lot of people out there like me and like plain coloured backgrounds. well actually I go through stages. one minute on pattern paper backgrounds.. but at the moment I'm really loving playing with different mediums to make backgrounds. so when Kraft Plus came about I knew that I wanted to join in and play along. its always a good starting point..

 ANYHO... I had 2 attempts at this one.. but I'll show the second attempt first because I didn't get sidetracked doing it.....

 yep.. kind of not sidetracked.. but I've used the colours and the photo for inspiration.. the colours are obvious but the photo.. ahhh summer..beach.. queensland.. bliss....

 close up... the charms creation heart {I just added the button" and dlish camera flair {LOVE these}

 some closies on that one..... the felt is all felt zig zags from Rainbow splendour that I cut up........ another crazy background...

 some super cool chipboard from scrapmatts. which I embossed.. yes another obsession at the moment.

 

and  yet another super cool flair from dlish..

I'm, back at Show Us Your Stuff...... {a little late i know}

WHHOOOOOPS my bad...
but not really I've only just got a computer back after almost 2 whole excruciatingly long months of not having one. so I'm back in the land of blogging.....

so I have news .. yes its a little old but still news surely!!..

Anyho.

I am no on the Show Us Your Stuff design team.. yay ME..


so my first assignment was a sketch.. and we all know I love a sketch..

 

and this is my take on it...

"Delight"

yep. I played with the background slightly and instead of patterned paper I've used a felt polaroid and heart from Rainbow Splendour plus some little extra bits and pieces from my stash...... its been so long since some of these have seen the light of day.
also added some microbeads with embossing powder on the scrapmatts florish.. I likes how that turned out.

as some of you already know the January challenge has closed for Show Us Your Stuff but the new February one has started and I must admit that I had fun playing with it..
I will be back on the 15th with my reveal .. but don't wait head on over to Show Us Your Stuff and give it a go...

ok. so I've been doing a little bit of scrapbooking.. thanks to the amazing people at the my2angels retreat.. I wasn't feeling like going but alas I did and i'm so glad I did.. the therapy of creating stuff.... PRICELESS..

scraplifting Chloe...

Over at Rainbow Splendour for the month of May it was Scraplift the  Design team month.

and well I started out with good in tensions but alas only managed to get 1 done.....

and that was one of the boss lady's layouts...

I chose this one......

And this is how mine ended up.. 

Yep not quite really alike but you can see some similarities.....

 the Photo.. one of my all time favourites..yes they are a couple years old now but i still love them...

Serenitys Smile...

I started this one a while ago and I've only just got back around to finishing it the other week.. 

after a few minor alterations due to a little miss Ivy drawing on parts... including one of the photos... 

this is the end result and i must admit i'm pretty happy with it.

and then i just need to get some stuff off of my chest.......

recently some stuff has been happening..... Family despute resolution, Centerlink cutting me off and struggling financially, John moving in {that one is a good thing}, thinking of changing work, kids, cars breaking down.... all of it has gotten to me, i keep doing good things to and for people [even random strangers] and the good karma just hasnt been finding its way back to me. i've been struggling to find my usual positive in every day. i've been stressed to the point that i've needed the last day and a half off of work to catch up on some sleep and to try and work things out in my head... its not me and i dont like it. i want that positiveness back. so i'm taking the drastic step of possibly leaving work at amart where i've been for almost 9 years {excluding a little time off with kids} to start an apprenticeship with John as a painter AND at the same time doing a certificate IV in accounting so i can look after the businesses books.. drastic yes. scary HELL yes.. but i'm almost to the point where i can't just keep going. i need to take a leap. i know i have fantastic family support and more than positive that i'd be able to get retail work again should things happen to fall on their arse. i'm in love with John that i know, and the kids are liking him even though he is helping me out with the rigors of kids, he's not letting them get away with what they are used to and its so SO good to have that back up happening. so Im JUMPING In.....
thanks for listening.. you know me sometimes i've just got to get what is in my head out. so thanks. and hopefully the me that i want to be will start to return......
