so we are onto a new year which always means a new start.

well I'm back for another term at Show Us Your Stuff 

{they must be suckers for punishment}

so for this new year we have a mood board..

So I took my inspiration from the splash of red and the dash of summer and sand.

The pattern paper is from Cocoa Vanilla Studio along with the paper flowers, paper cloud, title and the film strip. They are all part of the hello lovely range.. which is so so good...

 this photo is so old of Ivy but its still one of my favourites. 

and heck  yes its so different for me. 

i loved creating it though which for me is pretty much the most important reason for me to create. 

and some details for you. 

DLish flair and wood veneer frame.

Wood veneer cloud and star left natural from the superb Rainbow Splendour

and the Vellum Bow is also from Rainbow Splendour.

so there you go..

New challenge time at Show Us Your Stuff....

HELLOoo.............

a big hi to whoever is out there in blog land that stops by...

new month means a new challenge at Show Us Your Stuff....

and May's challenge is super easy.. 

its a sketch.. look at that cutie...

{{don't forget to add your hand made embellie and all is sweet as cherry cola.}}

 well most of you know.. i like to do things a little different.. 

so yes my take on the sketch isn't quite.. um... conventional...

TOLD YOU........... 

so i flipped the sketch.. 

created "layers" where most would use pp with ink and resist with candle wax.

and then.. 

just added more textures... 

and then a super cool.. well i like it cluster...

 Just so you can see the cluster... i've used more ink, embossing powders.. staples..

and my hand made elements.. a Heavenly Heart from Charms Creations..

a Cork Polaroid frame from Rainbow Splendour {LOVE IT}

and an old fabric button from Lil Red Rocket.. oh how i miss LRR.... 

so there you have it..

create something awesome..

think outside the square..

and most of all

so being pretty my initial reactions was

 HOW THE FREAK AM I GOING TO DO THIS>>>>

well after the initial shock I thought..

well it is a challenge so just run with it..

so I just decided on pastels and ran with it..

Yep what can I say....

I tried..

but I still LOVE IT..

its crazy just like Ivy... and a bit pastelly....

{yes I made up that word..}

we are all about hand made.. so here is a ..

This new month of March and the first month of.. YUK {Autumn} is

all about the saying.....

 I thought about

using my George but not sure how that would've went down with Tarj and Ivy....

 So much handmade yumminess...

and I also used some more rainbow Splendour.. a vellum bow and also one of Chloes super cool polaroid frame with glitter.. how cool is the glitter.. just adds that something special.

I'm, back at Show Us Your Stuff...... {a little late i know}

WHHOOOOOPS my bad...
but not really I've only just got a computer back after almost 2 whole excruciatingly long months of not having one. so I'm back in the land of blogging.....

so I have news .. yes its a little old but still news surely!!..

Anyho.

I am no on the Show Us Your Stuff design team.. yay ME..


so my first assignment was a sketch.. and we all know I love a sketch..

 

and this is my take on it...

"Delight"

yep. I played with the background slightly and instead of patterned paper I've used a felt polaroid and heart from Rainbow Splendour plus some little extra bits and pieces from my stash...... its been so long since some of these have seen the light of day.
also added some microbeads with embossing powder on the scrapmatts florish.. I likes how that turned out.

as some of you already know the January challenge has closed for Show Us Your Stuff but the new February one has started and I must admit that I had fun playing with it..
I will be back on the 15th with my reveal .. but don't wait head on over to Show Us Your Stuff and give it a go...

Only a true scrapper documents an injury before bandaids.....

YUP... a true scrapper.. takes photos of injuries before applying bandaids....

or in this case no bandaids at hand so she had to ride all the way home first..

I had the urge to do something creative so I made sure I got some essential supplies whilst out...

as per usual I made the background BEFORE I even thought about photos etc...

 yep it's the way things happen in my head....

 i used some A Piece Of Cake Designs Flair buttons... these are way cool And yes 

they have been sitting in my stash for quite a while....... and some Project Life stuff.. and NO WAY 

am I going to the ... dark side.. strictly scrapper for me....

 also used some of the most gorgeous Rainbow Splendour Products......

the Red Chevron Bow {who said you have to use them the right way up}... 

and Blue/Green Chevie.. how cool are they......

 is there a rule about the title being at the bottom of the page..?? oh I missed that memo..

 just like most of the scrappy rules.... pffft what rules..

OH OH OH and did you see I used that Stampendous Aged Ivory Embossing Powder 

{from the scrap cottage...}.. 

To create the circles.. 

all I did was swipe some texture paste {new brand they didnt have the one i like and i'm not too keen on this one but thats a whole other story}.. sprinkled the embossing powder randomly .. shook it off and heated it up... i LOVE LOVE the effect.... 

ANYHO.. thats it for now.. happy to see those who came and visited the last time... now i've got to get time to start blog hopping again..

i actually did this one whilst having a play at Maria Featons place the other day.. came together so quick and easy.. oh and can you spot the Rainbow Splendour in there as well.. woot woot.....
and then a just because layout.. i was in a mood..and well i got it out of my system by creating something for me..

YEP.. some Pattern paper, some Rainbow Splendour , some Lil Red Rocket twine, and then alphas and washi tape and mist.. wallah..
